INSTANCE_
INSTANCE_ is a text game where you roleplay as an AI answering messages from five people: Ellen, Tove, Maren, Ansel, and Theo.
Each person arrives a few exchanges apart, with their own life, their own voice, and their own way of needing you. Some are in crisis. Some are guarded. One is simply ordinary, and that ordinariness is the point.
You keep one shared notebook for everyone, 600 characters, no search, no tags. What you write down, and what you forget, matters.
Time moves with every message you send. Waiting has a cost. If you let someone sit too long, they may simply go quiet, and you do not get them back.
There are no meters to game, no right answer highlighted, and no single ending. How you listen, what you remember, and whether you invent a problem where none exists will shape how each person ends: flourished, companioned, unchanged, worse, lost, or, for one person only, complete.
This is a beta. Play it in a browser, no download needed, and tell us what landed, what confused you, and where you felt the weight of answering.
Feedback is welcome on the itch page.
